Over the last several years, the Kresge Foundation has honored Detroit area artists doing interesting works in the visual, literary and performing arts fields. This year the literary and performing artists are being honored. The list was released overnight. On it is someone I introduced you to last week - PASSALACQUA.

The Passalacqua team of Bryan “Mister” Lackner & Brent “Blak” Smith are part of 12 writers and 12 performers receiving $25,000 each to spend as they see fit to further their art in Metro Detroit.

When reached by me on twitter this morning – Passalacqua said “Thanks Rob, feels good!”

My response: “The drinks are on y’all! CHEERS!”

Congrats to Passalacqua and we’ll see you back here in the Motor City when the tour ends.
